TRAILER: Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)

Quite a cult classic, this film has influenced the workings of my creative mind for a couple decades now.  And to understand my primal urges, one must check out Gary Oldman as the old Count, and most especially, Tom Waits as Renfield, in Francis Ford Coppola's "Bram Stoker's Dracula".   TRAILER: Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)

The film's dark setting begins in Wallachia, Romania, the homeland of the voivode Vlad Tepes, or Vlad The Impaler, the warrior prince of the Holy Roman Empire and the "vampire" on which the original Bram Stoker novel and this horror show are based, and we witness more tie-ins with the historic Dracula (or Vlad the Impaler) throughout this movie than in the original novel.  These comparisons spurred in me an intense interest and fascination with the setting of Romania and the cities, towns, and history of Vlad Tepes and Wallachia.
